About the project

A new dual company, one story fire station at 1138 Olinder Ave (Olinder Court at Felipe Avenue) on a site of about 1.12 acres. The 8,100 square foot building has a two vehicle bay large enough to house a tiller vehicle. Site work includes parking for staff and the public, an onsite generator and diesel tank, perimeter fencing, and landscaping with bioretention areas. Demolition, soil mitigation and rough grading were completed on June 6, 2023.

About the project

The project evaluates the condition, performance, reliability and operational needs of the existing HVAC systems at the Emergency Operations Center and the Fire Training Center. Based on that evaluation, it will design system replacements and recommended improvements to boost reliability, energy efficiency and long term functionality, supporting safe and uninterrupted operations at both facilities.

The CMU wall, roof framing, blocking, ceiling panels, siding, interior and exterior animal enclosures, netting, plumbing and painting are complete. Electrical is nearly complete. Staff is preparing a Council memo in response to a protest and is targeting the October 27 City Council meeting. Design and construction of a 0.33 acre park. Scope includes demolition of two single story structures and soil remediation, replacement of sidewalk, driveway, curb ramp, curbs and gutters in the public right of way, and construction of new play equipment, a shade structure, perimeter fencing and walls, paving, seat walls, furnishings, park lighting, signage, irrigation and plantings.

Tully and Senter is 70% complete, expected through mid November 2026. Concrete work and asphalt bike lanes are done on all four corners, utility companies are moving facilities to new grade, and storm drain work at the southeast and southwest corners is finished. Balfour and Senter is 50% complete, expected through late November 2026. Electrical work is done at the northeast and southeast corners and the contractor is preparing to pour sidewalk and ramp at those corners.

About the project

Funds key pedestrian, bicyclist and transit safety improvements along 4.7 miles of Senter Road between Story Road and Monterey Road: speed radar signs, enhanced crosswalks with flashing beacons, concrete curbs to protect bike lanes, planted median islands, advanced pedestrian and bike sensors, bus boarding islands, transit signal priority, new streetlights and a new traffic signal at Balfour Road. Initial allocations: $2.35M for LED streetlights and pedestrian scale lights, $1.5M for a concrete curb barrier protecting the new Class IV buffered bike lane, $2.5M for a new signal at Senter and Balfour, and $1.1M for bus boarding islands, shelters and benches.

The corridor serves a regional commercial hub and multiple Metropolitan Transportation Commission Priority Development Areas. About the project

At Rigoletto Avenue and Brahms Avenue, a recent fatality reviewed by the Department of Transportation's Fatality Review Board led to a recommendation for additional lighting. At Tully Road and La Ragione Avenue near Coyote Creek, four fatalities over the past ten years led the Pedestrian Safety Team to prioritize the site for better illumination. The project installs a new streetlight at the intersection and replaces existing luminaires.

About the project

Part of the Cast Iron Pipe Replacement Program, which replaces unlined cast iron sewer mains that have corroded significantly since their installation in the 1950s. The project removes about 146 feet of corroded cast iron pipe and replaces it with epoxy lined ductile iron pipe, installs about 3,080 feet of cured in place liner in existing 6 inch and 8 inch sewer pipe, and builds one manhole and one drop manhole connection. Service laterals are evaluated, repaired, reinstated and reconnected.

Part of the City's Exfiltration Abatement Program, which addresses maintenance concerns on sanitary sewer mains located above or crossing over storm drain mains, or within 10 feet laterally of them. The project performs point repairs on about 4,800 feet of existing 6, 8 and 10 inch mains, then rehabilitates all of the mains with a cured in place pipe liner.
